Prior to patch 0.06, the Skill Tree has 682 nodes. The Automator tree is where you will be able to unlock: There are also equipment based stat increases that increse damage for that piece of eqiupment
Note the special bonuses are marked with a blue background and that there are yellow skills that have larger bonuses
The types of things you can spend points on are: The Automator tree uses points that you unlock by spending skill points. There is a sub tree where the Automator skills are located. The Skill Tree is one of the tabs shown on the left side of the game screen.
